Digital Reputation in Bingöl Gastronomy: Content Analysis of Restaurant Reviews

Abstract
This study focuses on online reviews of the five most-reviewed restaurants in Bingöl province in
the context of developing gastronomic tourism. The main objectives of the research are to reveal
perceptions regarding service quality, positive and negative feedback, and to propose strategies
for improving regional development within the scope of gastronomic tourism. Data was collected
from popular travel and restaurant platforms and analyzed using MAXQDA software. These
findings demonstrate that gastronomic tourism is not only an economic activity but also an
important tool for preserving cultural diversity and promoting regional change. The study
concludes by proposing strategies to improve service quality in restaurants in Bingöl and
positively influence online reviews. These strategies include adopting a professional service
approach, promoting local flavors more extensively, and diversifying with appropriate pricing
policies.
